Few Healthy Tips to Keep Your Weight under Control!!

Most of the people are careless about the kind of food they eat and they don’t even bother to pay attention to their increasing waist size. However later on when they realize the importance of healthy and fit body, it’s become too difficult for them to control those gained extra kilos. Thus doctors always advise to eat healthy.

Apart from that you can also check your weight and keep it under control by following certain tips i.e.

Eat more of fruits and vegetables: Your meal should contain sufficient amount of vegetables and fruits as they contains beneficial fibers, antioxidants and vitamins. Morever they are low in calories and make you feel full.

Check how many calories you need: You can calculate the amount of calories you need by measuring BMR (Kcal). BMR is referred to as Basal Metabolic Rate.

Body Weight (lb) x 15 + (moderate activity [mins/day] x 3.5)

Thus your target (calories you need to lose) = BMR – 500 Kcal

For example: if your weight is 150lb and you perform 30 mins of moderate activity every day. Then BMR is calculated as (150 x 15) + (30 x 3.5) = 2250 + 105 = 2355 Kcal. Thus target calories = 2355 – 500 = 1855.

Do not miss out meals: Instead of skipping meals, try to take frequent small meals throughout the day. It will help you to balance your calories intake.

Try to eat fresh foods only: Avoid packaged and processed foods as they contain more of sodium and fat.

Exercise regularly: Try to exercise 30-60 minutes a day. It is always advisable to practice weight-bearing exercises at least 2 times a week.
