Lose Weight Easily At Home!!

Weight loss can be achieved by a number of methods including diet plan, pills, surgeries and exercises. Most of the people opt for easy method of weight loss as they don’t have enough time for doing workouts. However there are certain exercises which can be performed at home in day to day life without putting much effort. Exercises are mainly of two types:

Aerobics: These exercises actually burn fat and reduce calories.

Strength training: These exercises contribute to weight loss by increasing your resting metabolic rate (RMR). RMR is defined as the rate at which your body burn calories while you are at rest

Here given below are few exercises which can be easily performed by you:

Pushups: - It is a type of strength training exercise. In it you have 70% of your body weight on your arms. Do 2-3 sets of 20 pushups to gain arm strength and toned muscles

Stepping: - One of the best way to burn excessive fat of the body is stepping. You can use your stairs at home. In this way you can keep your weight under control.

Fast Walking: - It is a type of aerobic exercise. Before starting fast walking make sure to get warm up with regular walking. Once you start walking faster, try to maintain your speed as much as possible.

Jumping jacks: - It is an excellent aerobic workout you can do anytime at home. Do 3-4 sets of 20 jumping jacks per day to lose considerable amount of weight.

Excessive Weight can affect Your Baby!!

Maintaining proper weight during pregnancy is very necessary to avoid certain complications. A pregnant woman with excessive weight has higher risk of contracting diseases like preclampsia, miscarriage, diabetes and hypertension. Hypertension in pregnant women causes bad penetrability of blood vessels. Furthermore increased blood pressure during delivery can even cause blood stroke. In hypertension, placenta doesn’t get sufficient amount of blood supply and nutrition. Hypertension and preeclampsia often results in cesarean.

There is a higher risk of preclampsia during pregnancy which may interrupt with the functioning of kidneys. As a result albumen goes in urine. Furthermore the supply of nutritive material and oxygen to the fetus get reduced resulting in the birth of a baby with lesser weight. Morever baby may also suffer from neurological disorders, brain defects and convulsive syndromes.

For a pregnant lady, during delivery time there is more chances of severe blood loss, urinary tracts infections and defects of baby shoulder. Thus it’s very essential for a pregnant woman to keep her weight under control.

Generally weight gain during pregnancy can be from 10 to 15 Kgs while normal weight, 7-12kgs for an overweight lady however not more than 6kgs for women with sever obesity.

In order to have a healthy baby, consult your doctor for proper diet and healthy lifestyle so that you can reduce your weight required enough for safe delivery.

Obesity and Heart Complications!!

Obesity or overweight is associated with a number of health complications including cancer, respiratory diseases and heart diseases. Obesity and heart diseases are closely related to each other as obesity is accompanied by high cholesterol and blood pressure causing numerous hear diseases i.e.

Obesity and Hypertension

Obese individuals are more likely to develop high blood pressure than individuals with normal weight. In women, it is noticed to have more increase in blood pressure during obesity than in men. This elevated blood pressure can cause heart stroke and attacks.

Obesity and High Cholesterol

An obese person usually has high cholesterol level also referred to as “hypercholesterolemia”. The increase in the level of cholesterol may harden the arteries restricting the circulation of blood to the heart resulting in heart problems.

Obesity and Heart Attacks

Studies show that a person having BMI of more than 29 have higher chances of contracting coronary artery diseases. This increases the risk of heart attack also.

Obesity and Congestive Heart Failure

Congestive heart failure is also termed as congestive cardiac failure (CCF) or simply heart failure. During this disorder, the heart of a person becomes incapable of pumping or filling sufficient amount of blood. This can be life threatening and leads to fatal results.

Obesity and Enlarged Heart

An obese person has a greater chance of developing enlarged heart which is referred to as cardiomegaly. Obese people suffer from this ailment because heart has been forced to work extra hard. Furthermore an enlarged heart does not work efficiently as the normal heart does.

Cardiac Arrhythmia

It is also known as cardiac dysrhythmia. Cardiac Arrhythmia is characterized by the irregular muscle contraction which is either too fast or too slow. A cardiac dysrhythmia can be life threatening.
