How to Keep the Weight of Your Child under Control!!

Obesity is not only harmful adults but also for children and adolescents. Childhood obesity is the most common health problem getting prevalent now a days. Childhood obesity may cause a number of severe ailments and found to be associated with diseases like pediatric hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, coronary heart disease and several others. Furthermore it lowers a child’s self-esteem and affects his/her personal life too. Usually children are not very much concerned about their weight. Thus it becomes the responsibility of parents to look after their child weight in order to prevent them from dangerous ailments.

You can control your child weight by following given below measures:

Extracurricular activities: - Try to indulge them in some kind of extracurricular physical activity.

Family involvement: - Family involvement is very essential to control your child weight. You can keep your child weight under control by

• Encouraging your child to lose weight

• Limiting the time for watching TV

• Avoiding other activities during mealtime

• Avoiding foods that are high in calories, fat or sugar

• Avoiding intake of fast food and oily food by your children

Training at school: - Since children spend most of their time at school so proper health training should be given at school to stay healthy.
